I’m back

Boy – snow day becoming snow week plus really slowed me down. But, back at it now. I am in the transition phase of the Medislim HCG diet from The Finer Touch now. I lost a total of 16 pounds in the diet phase and am now training by body to accept this new weight and learn to keep it off. That’s what the transition does for you. I am eating more calories but still eating the good stuff – salad and fruit,etc. I get to using dressing now – wooo!! Transition phase lasts 3 weeks. The goal is to keep my weight within 2 pounds of my target – either way – up or down. So, I weigh every day and adjust accordingly. Either eat a little more or a little less depending on what the scale says. Keep at it diet partners! It works.

Week 4 and counting

Alrighty. Week 4 weigh in was this morning. Another 3 lbs down on the MediSlim HCG diet from The Finer Touch. That’s an official 13 pounds so far. And, down 1% in my Fat%, 1.5% in fat mass, and 1% in my BMI. This is good stuff gang. I decided to go for one more week then start the trasition phase. I hope I don’t live to regret that!

Weekends are tough

After 24 days of taking the MediSlim HCG from The Finer Touch and 22 days of a very low-calorie diet – I finally had a breakdown. I ate real food Saturday night. We had friends over for dinner – I had planned to have grilled chicken and a big spinach salad, right. This is what I made. Chicken jambalaya with spanish rice, mexican cornbread, green salad and -wait for it – key lime pie for dessert. Yep – and I had some of all of it. Now, I did have a huge portion of salad (no dressing) and small portions of everything else. But, needless to say, it was over my calorie allotment for the day. So, I am back on the plan as of yesterday. Not to be deterred by a little slip up – I’m pushing through and on ward. This is my last week for MediSlim HCG then I go to the transition phase. Can’t wait – might even get to enjoy a carb boost.

Uh Oh

Well – I was so excited about my weigh in yesterday I just went wild last night. I had dressing on my salad. And I had a whole piece of chicken. Wayyy over that 500 calorie day I am supposed to have. So – my punishment – 1/2 a lb this morning. Now that’s not on The Finer Touch super scale, just my bathroom one – but still. I like it when it’s going the other way. So, back to it today. Gonna have to be strong over the weekend. I’m nothing if not stubborn so we’ll see!!!

Week 3 weigh-in – BAM

Oh Yea – I ended my MediSlim HCG diet week 3 down 3.5 lbs. WooHoo!!! That is a total of 10 lbs since I started on the shots at The Finer Touch. Dr. Norton told me I would hit plateaus and to push through – and I took her seriously (looks like she was right – again). So, one thing I really paid attention to this week was getting in my 3 liters of water. I try really hard to drink one liter before lunch, one after lunch and one at home in the evening. Seems to have helped so I am sticking to it.

Obviously, this is more fun when the scale rewards you. But, I’m telling you – I can really tell that my waist line bulges and my tummy are going away. That whole thing about Medislim HCG using the “old” stored fat is proving to be the case on my body for sure! (looks like Dr. Norton is right again). Oh – and my fat% went down .5 so that shows i am actually losing fat and not muscle mass. The fabulous scale masters at The Finer Touch keep insisting that I actually have muscles. I haven’t noticed any in a long time though!

hanging in there

So, I’m working my way through week 3 of The Finer Touch Medislim HCG diet. Gotta say – it’s getting a little harder. I think about food more than in the past 2 weeks. But, the actual hunger part hasn’t changed – I’m just not hungry. My head wants that cookie but I can tell it no. Very unusual for me! I’ve been very surprised that my sugar monster has stayed under control. Having an orange or apple in the evening has been a life saver. Just sweet enough I guess. I think I have taken the going green thing as far as I can. Never had so much salad in my life. But, I can tell my pants are starting to slide – like that loose feel! Weigh in on Thursday so we’ll see how it goes.

week 2 weigh in

Today starts week 3 of the Medislim HCG diet for me. That means I had to go for my weigh-in. The Finer Touch has a really cool scale that measures fat%, fat mass – important stuff – and oh yea – weight. So, I lost 1 lb last week (I really wanted to see another 5 like last week) But – I lost 3% in my fat mass% and fat%. What that says it that my body is using it’s stored fat rather than my muscle to make up for those calories it would like to have. I am happy to report that I still don’t feel super hungry. And, I am having to really tighten my belt, literally, to hold up my pants. I will head in to week 3 now. Dr. Norton says that weight plateaus are normal – and I most likely hit one. Next week we’ll see. Of course, it might help if I would exercise a little. But… hmmm… not quite ready – it’s too cold out – surely I have some excuse.
